Possession of stolen credit cards:
Mickey was in the rear seat of a car heading towards Montreal along Highway 401. His friend was driving and his other friend was in the front seat. In and around the City of Brockville, an OPP officer stopped the vehicle and searched both the contents of the vehicle and Mickey and his two friends’ person. The officer discovered stolen credit cards on the person of the driver and the occupant of the front seat. They also found approximately 30g of marijuana in a knapsack in the back seat. All three were charged with possession of stolen credit cards and possession of schedule II substance.
Result – After meeting with the Crown, they agreed to withdraw against Mickey if the driver took responsibility for the stolen credit cards. Charges against Mickey were withdrawn.
