Ehud and Karen have been in a common-law relationship for approximately two years.
On February 19th, Ehud and Karen got into an argument over a gaming remote control. Karen attempted to get up and leave multiple times, but each time was pushed down. At one point, Ehud was on top of Karen, holding her down. At some point, Ehud made a verbal threat about killing Karen and himself.
A neighbour contacted police after noticing Karen outside in her nightgown, yelling for help.
Ehud was arrested and charged with assault and uttering a threat to cause death.
Result: After discussions with the Crown, the charges resolved on a section 810 peace bond.
