Alice and Dan were in a common law relationship. On a summer evening, Dan was in his room getting changed when Alice threw a curtain rod at his back, with part hitting his lower leg. Alice then proceeded to punch Dan on the face, causing severe bruising. Alice then took Dan’s keys and threw him out of their shared home. While waiting for friends in a parked vehicle, Alice proceeded to punch Dan several more times.
Alice was charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of assault.
Resolution: After entering into an 810 peace bond, all charges were withdrawn.
