Christine and Barry have been married for 8 years, and have 4 children together. In September 2021, Barry was preparing a presentation for work when he took a break to get a cup of coffee. Upset that he did not use a coaster, Christine dumped out the coffee, upsetting Barry. Barry then prepared a bowl of cereal, leading to an argument over milk. In an ensuing fight over the computer, Christine tossed a cell phone at Barry, which struck him in the head. While Barry prepared to leave, Christine continued to strike Barry on the face and back. Christine was charged with assault.
Result: After discussions with the Crown, the issue was resolved on a peace bond.
