Central Hastings OPP were conducting patrols in Madoc when a positive hit was received for a plate unattached on a white Ford pickup truck, leading to a traffic stop. The driver, identified as Samuel, advised that he is not the registered owner of the vehicle. He was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for use of a plate not authorized for vehicle.
Result: The charge was simply withdrawn by the Crown after we provided proof that it wasn’t the client’s (or their employer’s fault).
