On the evening of February 8th, Lanark County OPP received a report of a silver pickup tailgating and brake checking another driver. At one point, Nathan had exited his vehicle, possibly intoxicated, and brandished a hammer. Police later found Sebastien driving in circles in the parking lot of a Home Hardware and arrested. Nathan was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and assault with a weapon.
Outcome: After rigorous negotiating involving judicial input, we were able to plead guilty to careless driving and assault. Nathan avoided a criminal record. He did some anger management classes and didn’t lose his driving licence at all.
